I spent a day thinking of what "South of the Sun" meant. I came to the conclusion that it was about being lost, since there is no "South of the Sun" in any dimension I know of. I really liked the melody and chords Doug came up with, so i expanded on what the title meant and tried to stay true to the chords. Capo on the 2nd fret, mostly F-G-Am-G chord fingerings on the verse with a Dm and Em every once in a while. Chorus is Am-F-Em(ish)-G with a Dm thrown in for good measure.
lyrics
Once in a while I ask myself a question
Alone in a mirror, look at my reflection
One that every time I've dreaded
Where am I headed?
Who knows why the river bends
Who knows how the road will end
Did I come this way before
Am I back where I'd begun
There's no direction
Just call it south of the sun
Did the wind blow me here
Is it purpose or did I just appear
No reason or destiiny
Just chaos and cacophony
Who knows why the river bends
Who knows how the road will end
Did I come this way before
Am I back where I'd begun
There's no direction
Just call it south of the sun
