OK so this is a strange story.. Long ago my friend and I were in the car and he was driving me home, and decided to take the back way to my parents house on Harper road . I was still living w my parents at the time and was still in school. He was driving a bit fast on that road, came around one of the sharp turns too fast. and we flipped a few times, and we slid a long way on my side of the car and hit a tree. Small fire broke out on the car, and I got out by kicking the windshield. I am lucky to be alive, but a few things really fucked w me about that wreck. First of all I remember being calm as we flipped and the only thing I was concerned about was that I had just ordered a guitar from that music store by the old Ziggy's and I would never get to play it. I was just starting to teach myself to play, and I remember before we made impact simply saying "DAMN YOU SHAGGY"..that was my friends nickname. Another odd thing about this wreck was that maybe a quarter mile before I decided to roll my window up. If it had been down when we flipped I probably would not be here. No onto the third thing that really fucked with me... and this is what the song was about. We flipped the car, slid on my side of the car and what stopped us was slamming at a very high speed into a damn tree. Right before we hit the tree. I saw a white outline of what appeared to be a woman, and she said to me "WAIT NOT YET" .. yeah I know this sounds crazy, maybe I was loopy as we were crashing, maybe it was all in my head, maybe I had an out of body experience, who the hell knows, but I swear I remember this vividly right before we made impact. I thought for a long time it was a "guardian angel" or some shit, and I thought also maybe it was someone I had yet to meet. So this song is about that, and I am starting to think it may have been about my girl. I thought it was about another one or two that I dated in the past. But my current girl seems to fit the bill a bit more. So I guess this is kind of a sweet song to my lady , for putting up with me, and I'm thinking that maybe she was the outline of the woman, or the "premonition" that I saw long ago. Who knows. I know this sounds fucked up, and maybe it is, but anyways. here's my song.
