Well... tough week for me, I was in LA all week without much time to do any writing. Came back yesterday, wrote this on the way home from airport and recorded on the train. One thing about being away from the fam for a whole week (which I didn't really capture with this tune but I tried) is how much it has changed my life and perspective.
lyrics
Outta love. Outta bounds
Trying turn myself around
Shaking like a leaf on lonely tree
Suffering from self defeat
Wallowing on sunny street
Til she got a hold of me
Sick of chasing shiny things I need a little more
When it's love it hits you lightning
Then it goes from just two of you
To three and then to five, it's frightening
But I know what is real to me
Family man sunny skies
Growing up before my eyes
Couldn't have planned it any better than this
Laugh a lot, lots to do
Not the time for me and you
Figuring it out, one day at a time
