I haven't written a song in forever. Jumping back on the saddle feels a little reckless.

Someone once invited me to go and be reckless
A little careless as I recall
Something about how I needed to take my chances
Cause circumstances have hit a wall
I'm not inclined to stand too far
Out a limb alone
The words and tunes roll
Through my head but
Never seem to stick around for long

There's dust on my guitar cause I haven't played it
Still I've been persuaded to write a song
And reckless is the word that comes to mind when I do that
Cause who in their right mind would risk the fall

I must admit it's kind of freeing
Guess it's time I learned to play along

That dust is staring back at me

Time to get dreaming and see what comes
