The soil testing equipment on Curiosity, a NASA mars robot, makes different sounds at different parts of experiments. When the scientists on the ground realized (or discovered) this they programmed a series of experiments so that Curiosity sings happy birthday to itself once every year. It's the first song sung by an earthling of some sort on another planet. The scientists are the cake themselves, though. We’ll see how that plays out in future robot relations.
lyrics
Robot birthday on mars
Robot birthday on Mars
No one's there to hear you sing
Happy birthday to the ground
Can you dig to make a song
Will you dig it all day long
Use your metal claws and electric jaws
To emit a data song
All alone
At a stop before the stars
Sits a lone robot so far
Curiosity on the dusty sea
Sings it lonesome tune from Mars
All alone
Robot birthday on mars
Robot birthday on Mars
No one's there to hear you sing
Happy birthday to the ground
