This is a re-do of a song I wrote and recorded in 2011. For some reason, I have had Mark Linkous (Sparklehorse) on my mind this week. His music and his story are so sad. I just completely Sparklehorse'd this song with the slow tempo, sad vocals and tone. I added a second verse for the new version. The lyrics are basically about people who complain about things and expect them to change without their own action.
lyrics
I'm sailing I'm sailing
On an empty sea
My ship sits on sand
Don't know where it takes me
My crew of one
Waits patiently
For the winds to come
and set me free
I'm sailing I'm sailing
Can't tell stern from bow
I've lost all direction
Don't know when or how
My crew of one
Waits patiently
For the winds to come
and set me free
Oh the wind she blows
Yeah the wind she blows
Oh the wind she blows
...And I don't go
