Turns out the pandemic, it had other plans
She tried another time, but that virus reared its ugly head again
Waiting to return to normal's never fun
Whether you're a grown adult or a child of one
And worry makes the little things in life a whole lot bigger when it comes undone

Three stories formed the man he'd become within
A son who needed more than what they could give
A battle with cancer and the chemo that came with it about did him in
(took it on the chin)
But the accident in China's where it had begun
Wandering in wilderness and on the run
and when he finally made it home, he left the former man behind for a better one

And you are seen and loved as you are
You go into the wilderness to come out of the wilderness
So give a little grace, speak the words face to face

Fighting for her life as the sickness came
The joy of motherhood was no longer the same
And the love that filled her heart was replaced with doubt and anger and a touch of rage
(okay, a lot of rage)
She wanted to go yell at God but was so afraid
That the one receiving would not hesitate to reciprocate
But she found that anger shared became love unimpaired like a warm embrace - and it's all okay
