Well, I promised myself that I wouldn't waste the week getting drawn into some kind of super-fun but ultimately unusable psyche-pop pastiche. But then, I totally did. Had a blast going into full-blown Dukes of Stratosphear mode. Can't imagine what I'd ever do with something like this, but it sure was fun!
lyrics
I used to read her like a book
Now she’s closed to me
I used to only need one look
Now she’s a mystery
Like an ancient epigraph
on a mystic scroll
Words that used to make her laugh
Seems we’ve lost control
I dream she’ll someday change her mind
She’s melting slowly over time
I take a basket to the park
Plan a lunch for two
But it’s only my blue spark
Lights the avenue
For she is nowhere to be seen
On my color chart
In between the blues and greens
Of my shattered heart
I dream she’ll someday change her mind
She’s melting slowly over time
