Well, this week I was going to take RCDD's idea and use this to try to write a tune for the next Kingfly album. That didn't happen! This one took me in a totally different direction, that does seem appropriate for Father's Day week... and even got the father's day singers on it. Didn't come out the way I had hoped, but at least it was fun getting my crew involved.
lyrics
There are people that you meet
When you're on the street
Better stop and say hi
If you push and drive, twenty years go by
In the blink of any eye
It took a family, to help me see the better things in life
Got a place in mind but there's nothing good to eat
Got the melody but you just can't find the beat
The answer might, be right, at your feet
Let your love shine
Shine everyone
Let your love shine
Shine like the sun
We're all alright
You can even have some fun
Shine, shine, shine
Not a day goes by, where I wonder why
Or I think about the past
What might've been, or a long lost friend
Or how long we last
Man just gotta take it all
Every minute as it comes, before it's done
When the songs all right then you're ready for the stage
When the night gets long and you start to feel your age
But another round I've found is all it takes, and I'm feeling 22!
