This is a rough sketch of an idea I didn't quite flesh out or do the production I had in my head. No bridge is better than a bad bridge, right? And I realize that draperies would have been a more accurate word than tapestries. Oh well.
I keep doing last minute things like this this round. I intend to be more focused and interactive with the humans in the club, and I've been falling short of that goal in this area this particular round. Sorry. I've heard some stuff I really like, but I keep forgetting to go say it on Facebook. So if you've received some mysterious psychic artistic approval, that was me.
lyrics
Look out
Your door
Just like
before
You hid
Your soul away
I know
It's there
I don't
Know where
But may your soul
Come out and play?
We’ll put on a spectacle
Til you put on your spectacles
And draw aside the tapestries
You had made from dirty money
Our world is your receptacle
We don’t know why you’re skeptical
It’s out your window like we say
May your soul come out to play?
Look out
They're here
No arms
No fear
The past you made
is here today
Look in
Their eyes
Don’t run
Don’t hide
We see the fabric
wrapped around your face
It holds
Dust in
The mold
Your sins
they’re try to say they know why you can’t breathe
We’ll put on a spectacle
Til you put on your spectacles
And draw aside the tapestries
You had made from dirty money
Our world is your receptacle
We don’t know why you’re skeptical
It’s out your window like we say
May your soul come out to play?
