Well, so often I moan about not having enough time, but this week I did have plenty of time to dig in, and alas, I still wasn't able to strike gold. I like this one fine enough, and I did manage to stay in the lanes of what I was shooting for, but the lyrics are barely better than throwaway quality. I did get to once again play drums, which is great for my soul but tends to kinda set the whole house on a shaky foundation. Ah, well - onward and upward!
lyrics
these dreams you’re dreaming
my sweet speed demon
careful what you pray for
this pace you’re setting
these bets you’re betting
the bill somebody pays for
cause I can read the warning signs
we’ve all been burned before
the night can fool the moon sometimes
leave you wanting more
This ain’t no place to start
halfway down the highway
Let’s go back to the chart
Why don’t we take it from the top
from clay to castle
from haste to hassle
you’ve gotta take your sweet time
we came out gunning
stellar and stunning
you can’t just stop on a dime
cause I can read the warning signs
we’ve all been burned before
the night can fool the moon sometimes
leave you wanting more
This ain’t no place to start
halfway down the highway
Let’s go back to the chart
Why don’t we take it from the top
