Headed out of town so had to wrap it up early this week. I've never attempted a Irish drinking song but it was great fun to do. Hopefully I got close enough to the perimeters to make a few thirsty. My pan flute was too out of tune to use unfortunately. Cheers
lyrics
Thank Man For Whiskey
I drink to thee my beauty
I drink to thee my babe
I drink to thee sweet memories
My life, you three, have saved.
The cup of life runs over
A fool says other wise
Happy, a drunk, I will be
And happy I shall die
Thank man for whiskey
Thank man for wine
Thank God for life
Thank God for time
Thank women for birth
Thank women for love
Thank man for whiskey
May there always be enough.
Pour me another strong glass
And I’ll tell you a few tales of old
In my time alive, I’ve seen some things
That will make blood run cold
There are men who crave fortune
There are men who crave fame
Only a fool will forget the joy
That a simple song can bring
Thank man for whiskey
Thank man for wine
Thank God for life
Thank God for time
Thank women for birth
Thank women for love
Thank man for whiskey
May there always be enough.
Two drinks to remember
Four more to forget
Pass around the nectar
Cause I’m not nearly done yet
Thank man for whiskey
Thank man for wine
Thank God for life
Thank God for time
Thank women for birth
Thank women for love
Thank man for whiskey
May there always be enough.
