Wasn't sure how to approach this week's challenge, so just did a little song about my "process". Recorded on my iphone due to Christmas chaos.
lyrics
How does it happen? I’m really not sure
Sometimes it’s easy, most times it’s work
Words will flow quickly, the tunes not so much
Yet somehow a song will emerge
You can call it a gift and I guess I’d agree
Or the touch of a muse by the name of Aoede
But when the spark strikes
And a ditty is done
I’m always a little bit stunned
The first time it happened I woke up one morning
And found myself forming some chords
I couldn’t not write it, it was a little alarming
And finishing was quite a reward
I’ve had highs and lows, recently ten years of nothing
And now again the muse is unleashed
I wish I could say that time wasn’t crushing
But at least writing again is such a relief
