This has been a wacky week. It started with what this song is about. This is a true story. I'm sorry for the low effort. I just couldn't cook anything up this week. Lots of work, a gig, practice, and an epic two day hangover prohibited artistic output.
Ebisu is an area in Shibuya-ku that houses my favorite expat bar, called What the Dickens. That's all I remember about Monday night, and pretty much all you need to know about this song.
lyrics
We was night tripping Ebisu
What the Dickens was going on
Tequila ensued, might’ve been some Jäger bombs too
What happened to me last Monday night
Met a dude didn’t have no shame
Said ya ain’t a man without green
Don’t remember his name, but I remember his game
Tell you right now he wasn’t right
There was a band playing reggae
Remember that they were pretty good
I saw the photos, the people were mad close
The liquor was flowing, felt alright
The dawn it surely was drawing near
That’s where my mem’ry turns to haze
Ain’t nothing much clear, Cept there was way too much beer
Didn’t make it home til a quarter of five
We was night tripping Ebisu
What the Dickens was going on
Tequila ensued, might’ve been some Jäger bombs too
Try to discover, try to recover
What happened last Monday night
