I had no ideas this week since I've been swamped with other things. Then I read an article about a stupid guy who owned a coffee shop called Waking Life Espresso and was a successful pickup artist until his unflattering blog postings about all the women that he had slept with became known. So I cobbled together a song about that. I nearly crapped out on this round, but I felt honor-bound to turn something in.
lyrics
She met him a coffee shop
He approached her under false pretense
She was trying to make the memories stop
And for a moment it all made sense
No commitments and no strings attached
Just a night of pleasure so the plot was hatched
She never would’ve guessed his tale
He’d been a virgin ‘til age twenty four
Described his father as a beta male
All he wanted was a chance to score
When his girlfriend left his rage got started
He started trawling as a pickup artist
All his tricks were smoothly honed
To eat the meat and spit out the bones
The Red Pill ravings
The Red Pill ravings
Dark postings in the manosphere
The Red Pill ravings
The Red Pill ravings
Vain pretensions to massage their fears
And sing the hustler’s sad refrain
To find a way to cheat the pain
In the shallow scheming of The Game
Then the news of his secret life
Started to be shown
Sordid details overnight
Of all the women he’d known
Color-coded multiple partners
Spinning plates from year to year
Gullible women and angry men
Now shifting into gear
With all his conquests quantified
He found his Waking Life had died
And the unarmed truth had crushed his pride
The Red Pill ravings
The Red Pill ravings
Dark postings in the manosphere
The Red Pill ravings
The Red Pill ravings
Vain pretensions to massage their fears
And sing the hustler’s sad refrain
To find a way to cheat the pain
In the shallow scheming of The Game
