I’m thankful for the change in the weather
It sent a signal to my mind
I didn’t know but it let me go
And I could leave some of the past behind
Part of me wants to forget
The trouble and the pain
But there were tears of joy as well
And those will remain
I can begin again
The solstice had a meaning
This time around
I can feel it now
Not too long ago
I couldn’t wrap my head around
Walking down these paths I’ve found
Rosemary to remember
Poppy to forget
So many roads I’ve traveled down
And roads I haven’t seen yet
I feel a new season coming
I’m a moth to a flame
Finally walking down a path
with meaning again
I can begin again
The solstice had a meaning
This time around
I can feel it now
Not too long ago
I couldn’t wrap my head around
Walking down these paths I’ve found
