Modern tech has made "perfect" production an easy trick. It's interesting how much modern pop has intentional human imperfection added on top of the digital perfection: lazy, degraded, sloppy elements becoming bolder and more characteristic, all within the shimmering thing that is pop. I don't pretend to know how to achieve these effects, which I think can be fascinating, but I'm experimenting with it here.
lyrics
show me
show me
something that I haven’t seen before
tell me
tell me
what it is you’re waiting for
don’tcha
wanna
leave it all out on the floor
won’tcha
hav-ta
risk something first
we’re so chill baby
while the sky is burning
we”ll sit still won’t we
and watch the colors glow
these days
seems like
no one knows what to expect
i don’t
you don’t
so maybe that’s why we
my hooks
your plots
just a box of thrift store toys
its a
thin line
between music and noise
we’re so chill baby
while the sky is burning
just be still baby
and watch the colors glow
and it’s a thin line
between new and old
and all the melodies
sound like more code
stop me
stop me
if you’ve heard this one before
don’tcha
know the
last thing i want to be is a bore
