I am possibly the least qualified person on the planet to write a James Bond tune. I think the only one I've actually watched is the 1960's Casino Royalle with David Niven, Peter Sellers and Woodie Allen. So my original idea was for Molecular Bond, but as I went, it got dumber and dumber. When I caught myself writing the line Teeny Weeny Martini, I knew it had fallen off the stupid cliff. So that idea went in the trash, and I sort of took Patrick's idea of writing from te perspective of a villan, and did it as a Femme Fatalle waiting to assassinate 007. Try to imagine Karon Click singing, it helps.
lyrics
you arrive at a whisper to midnight
if your timepiece is even real
once your silhouette appears
I’ll know your fate is sealed
you will never suspect it is coming
I have found your achilles heel
your appointment with eternity
is as the last bell peals
step into the chamber
all you want seems to be here
ah, you found my red herring
and believe you have nothing to fear
I have you right where I want you
all that’s left is to reach out my hand
But my vision is starting to darken
Curse you, you foiled my plan
you arrived at a whisper to midnight
I don’t think that your timepiece was real
once your silhouette appeared
That’s when my fate was sealed
