Singing and playing in 5/4 is harder for me than I remember, especially without a drummer. The challenge made me approach writing differently.

One More Time Would Be Nice
How can you hear him from so far away?
Wrapped inside his arms everything is ok.
Quiet is the mind, heavy is the heart.
Nothing can touch you in this place,
no fear of loss, nothing left to say.
One more surrender, you may find, he’s always there.
One more time would be nice
One more time would be nice
Can you hear me calling through the night?
Can you tell me darling that everything is all right
Mist on the ocean, words on your lips
Tell him how you feel before it slips.
You’ve earned this place where joy lives
relax your body, he just wants to give.
Walls are for hanging pictures of the past
they can stand in the way so damn fast.
But you see through, you see clear
as you get older, you let go of fear.
One more time would be nice
One more time would be nice
Can you hear me calling through the night?
Can you tell me darling that everything is all right
