Let me set the scene…A Chilly Philly evening…a big drum full of fire…four dudes standing around in the glow singing about that girl! This was fun. Recording took longer than the writing. I know, I know ‘You & Me’ is not grammatically correct but ‘You & I’ didn’t sing well in this…so all the English teachers out there will just have to forgive me!
lyrics
You & Me
If the world just came down in tatters
There’s only one thing I would need
Is the memories of all that ever mattered
And that’s You & Me
If my day hasn’t gone like I want it to
And the clouds in the sky have turned grey
I can always count on you to bring the sunshine
Into my day
When the rains keep fallin’ on my window pane
And the stars they don’t seem to shine
I just think of you and your smile
And I’m feelin’ fine
I can’t believe, how lucky I am
To have you right here in my life
You’re like a steak, to a starvin’ man
And I thank my lucky stars that you’re mine
If the whole world just came down in tatters
There’s only one thing I would need
Is the memories of all that ever mattered
And that’s You & Me
(Whistle Solo)
It’s simply amazing, that you and me
Came together out of all the people in this world
We go together, like a close harmony
And I’m proud to say you’re my girl
If the whole world just came down in tatters
There’s only one thing I would need
Is the memories of all that ever mattered
And that’s You & Me
Yes the only thing that ever mattered
That’s You & Me
