Music is therapy. I lost a lifelong friend last week. We were like brothers but our lifestyles took us in different directions as we grew older. I was able to climb out of the pit but unfortunately he didn't. The song has a sad while chaotic overtone which is very similar to his life.
lyrics
Where does the sun go when it drops below the horizon
Is it chasing the ghost of last summer
Where does one go when they cannot help them self
Will I ever see him again
Time moves like the rusted wheels of a vintage pendulum clock
Sometimes flying, sometimes fading, it never ever ever stops
I tried and I tried, but I was on your other side
You lost in the wind on your last ride
Your Last Ride
Help was there, but you never cared to take it
And I'm not the one who tried to fake it
I wasn't there when the pain overcame
For that I'm sorry in my shame
Time moves like the rusted wheels of a vintage pendulum clock
Sometimes flying, sometimes fading, it never ever ever stops
I tried and I tried, but I was on the other side
You lost in the wind on your last ride
Your Last Ride
Where does the sun go when it drops below the horizon
