Wow... well in all the weeks of this doing this contest, this was somehow the most challenging for me. Been working on the track all week and just wasn't happy with how it was coming out. In combo of being inspired each week by Jason's sparse recordings and running out of time... I offer this.
This one will take lots of imagination, but my intention was pounding toms, U2/One Republic guitars and layered, anthemic vox. Maybe this will make the new KF!
Raw voice from a big rock gig last night, guitar / vox, and heavy handed lyrics. But, I'm happy bc my goal for this week was to write a Kingfly-ish single and with some work and more time, I do like the essence of this tune. Rock on y'all
lyrics
Some are lost
Some are searching all the time
For a moment, for a sign of Something true
I find light, in the little things each day
I found peace, in a way I never knew
It's all in front of you...
Your call, you can stand for something
Don't fall pretty little nuthin
It's up to you
This time, you can have it your way
Stand tall, not always easy
Worth the fight
It's your life. go
People change, or they leave the past behind
There's a fear, or fall from grace
Running circles, like a hamster on the wheel
There's another way, to have a taste
Of something beautiful...
Find the place and just go
Don't over think it or they suck u in
If you're doing what u love
Then you always, always win
