True story about this past Saturday, submitted with three minutes to spare!! Recorded on my Zoom handheld recorder in one take, so there's warts. It's really difficult to move a lot so it was also recorded downstairs so there's some extra noise. They can't all be perfect. I'm really having trouble being particularly fussed about the competitive aspect of this round, if I'm being honest.
The mystery is who the hell puked on the goddamn stairs!!
In addition to the broken ribs I got a gnarly road rash on my arm, as pictured.
lyrics
Didn’t write me a song this week
And I’m gonna tell you why
Went to party at a buddy’s house
And we let the good times roll by
It was my birthday weekend
And I caught a little buzz
We behaved and kept it quiet
And nobody called the fuzz
Somebody decided to puke on Mike’s back stairs
I slipped and fell, broke two ribs, but the whiskey helped me not to care
Woke up the next mornin’
And man i really began to feel my age
And now it’s my goddamn birthday
And I damn sure ain’t no sage
Don’t need no well wishin
Don’t need sympathy
Cause I live in a country
Where the goddamn healthcare’s free
