The assignment this week is from Doug:

"Let’s focus on rhythm this week. Often, for us singer-songwriter types, rhythm gets tacked on to the end of the creative process, despite the fact that rhythm often makes or breaks a tune. So, this week, we’re going to start with rhythm. I want you to begin with a specific rhythm in mind - be that a drum beat, a strummed rhythm, an arpeggio, or any other type of core rhythm - and then write to it. Try to choose someone a little outside of your normal go-to rhythms. I’m not asking everyone to create a fancy dance or EDM beat - I just want you to be aware of creativity in rhythms. To keep you honest, I want you to post a sample of that rhythm BEFORE you start writing. You can post anything - a drum beat, a loop, beatboxing, or even a sample of another song (yours or anyone else’s). That way, we’ll know if you stuck with it!"
