This was tougher than I anticipated. Annie's Road is Riverview Drive in New Jersey, typical "lady in white on the roadside" story. Phoned in the lyric, and it's not particularly well sung, but I think the music will be worth a revisit at least.
lyrics
She waved, I offered her a ride
Way she moved, was like she could glide
Quiet as the night
Lonely place for a roaming child
Rode the dry winter air a while
Something isn’t right
I heard tell of this road before
Tunneled trees heather covered floor
In a grove, barren white oak trees
Passing by, something up her sleeve
Faces bloodless white
Broken glass, shining in the street
Highway pass, treacherous with sleet
Dimming fairy lights
I heard tell of this road before
Tunneled trees heather covered floor
Out she flew, opening the door
Scream of tires, spinning metal roar
Don’t you fret it will all be over soon
One more soul lighting to the moon
Sweet serenity
In the darkened street
There she goes, silent ‘cross the leaves
Annie’s road, she abandoned me
Cold, quiet, goodnight
