This was supposed to be a kid's song about a constellation. It became a decadent plodding thing that I don't particularly care for. It was supposed to be the story of how Callisto and her son, Arcas, became Urasa Major and Minor (I was always fond of constellations as a kid) but it got out of hand. Oh well. They can’t all be winners. It’s also not very kid song-y...I did try though, I really did.
lyrics
All across the sky
The stars will align
Tell you stories of
God’s, women, and wine
Taciturn they blaze
For tonight, and always.
Callisto was a girl
Her beauty spun the world
And the God’s, put at odds
She laid to rest a while
Jupiter beguiled
Laying low, then Juno
His wife was unimpressed
Cast her from her rest
To a bear, wand’ring there
Her son became a man
Arcas made a stand
But his bow, and arrow
Never found its mark
Jupiter’s warm heart
Threw them high, to the sky
Callisto is the bear
And her cub is just there
Staying close Arcas goes
All across the sky
The stars will align
Tell you stories of
God’s, women, and wine
Taciturn they blaze
For tonight, and always
Hanging in the sky
There are stars, worlds, moonshines
Floating there in the air
