What a strange one! Again, of course, not much time this week, but I struck on an idea early this week that I liked. Staying in my Britpop mode, the original impetus here was VERY Oasis. Somehow during the tracking session tonight, though, it moved into a little more "rawk" territory. Not sure how that happened. Maybe I just needed an antidote from all the Chicago I've been working on.
Can't say I really love this, but it was fun to work on.
lyrics
what makes you feel better?
footprints by the door
I tried to read your letter
you were searching for a score
With every pulse you’re feeling
Don’t you hear the chords?
Connections to the airwaves
soldered on your circuit board
and if you feel unready
you’re past the point of losing
better stand up steady
you’ve gotta call the tune
cause if it all feels heady
well, you don’t know what’s coming
it all goes south
when you get back from Crystal City
Goddamn your addiction
fuck your money pose
First step, did you think about
Your highs and all our lows?
what makes you feel better?
footprints by the door
I tried to read your letter
you were searching for a score
and if you feel unready
you’re past the point of losing
better stand up steady
you’ve gotta call the tune
cause if it all feels heady
well, you don’t know what’s coming
it all goes south
when you get back from Crystal City
