1) Not a ballad.
2) No whining about being a piano player that doesn't work enough.
3) Have a little fun.
Those conditions have been met. Wish I'd had more time this week, same old story. Not my best work, but it was a nice diversion from my usual sob story nonsense.
lyrics
Drove the girls crazy and he
Spent his days hazy
Had that Hollywood debonair
Liked the black tar
And he played a good guitar
With a highlight in his hair
Had a weak spot
And them girls was so hot
They got him all in a twist
Same ol’ story
They was brain dead horny
And my home boy he was pissed
Don’t you lose yo’ mind boy
Don’t you set it aside
They been tellin’ you lies boy
They got them devilish eyes
Took him down a dark street
Barely stand on his feet
To a house of known ill repute
My boy didn’t know
But he’d played a good show
Feelin’ like God’s gift to you
Took him downstairs
Ran some fingers through his hair
Said he was the damn sure greatest thing
Knew what they was doin’
Didn’t know that he was losin’
When they brought out the good champagne
Don’t you lose yo’ mind boy
Don’t you set it aside
They been tellin’ you lies boy
They got them devilish eyes
Man marched him outside
When they was done telling lies
Twas a burly dude with neck tattoos
Said it’s been fun
Now the night’s all done
He didn’t have a damn cent left to lose
He picked himself up
He was feeling’ mighty rough
Mornin’ heat was a little much
Shoulda known better
Girls were so much wetter for the dollars
Rather than your touch
