This is my ode to the mighty Emprical Labs Distressor, which I put to abundant use while producing the track, and also to the double entendre tradition of blues singers like Lonnie Johnson. Though it may not seem especially heavy or raunchy to folks who tend to operate in either of those circles, for me it is pushing considerably further in both directions than I have before, as per this week's challenge.
lyrics
Won’t you be my Distressor baby
Won’t you come and tear it down with me
Let me be your compressor baby
I just wanna hear your frequency
I think I need a little tremolo baby
Shake me slow and steady if you please
Hit the fuzz and just a let go baby
Harmonic saturation brings me to my knees
Meet me at the bridge babe
Let’s turn it up to eleven
And burn it to the ground
Won’t you come and boost my signal baby
Won’t you hurry please and don’t delay
My tubes are glowing like a toaster baby
Conflagration’s just a little push away
Take me to the bridge babe
Let’s turn it up to eleven
Let’s burn it to the ground
Let me be your Distressor baby
I’m gonna amplify your energy
I’ll tesselate your form like M.C. Escher baby
Until we modulate in harmony
