On it's surface, it's supposed to come off as a tune about a guy that can't quit a girl. Underneath, it's actually about addiction, specifically, the daily struggle with a coke habit I gave up about 13 or so years ago.
lyrics
Wrote you a letter yesterday
Said the same things I used to say
I’ll never ever let you go
Forgive me for the lies I told
Wanna tell you something you should know
I don’t love you anymore
I don’t love you anymore
Still can’t quit you, losing my mind
Raining cats, puddled streets unwind
I’ll never ever let you go
Forgive me for the lies I told
Wanna tell you something you should know
I don’t love you anymore
