10/3/16 These lyrics are based on yesterday's conversation/text with a neighbor. The music is unrelated. It's a voice memo from a long time ago so it will not be the basis for this song.

I do believe my neighbor is mentally ill and I have been trying to find a way to make a connection. He does not speak to anyone and never comes to our neighborhood gatherings, although he is always invited by me. These lyrics are more about my frustration of being accused of harassing someone I was trying to have a conversation with...

Here's the dealio - The city is closing off our street for construction so I was trying to help him out so his car would not get towed this morning. I texted him a picture of the "do not park" notice with the words "FYI" (somehow I have his cell number).

This is what he wrote back:
"I am blocking your number. do not contact me in the future. i have asked you many times to stay out of my business. i would advise you to stop harassing all of your neighbors, because I am not the only one who feels this way, but I have little hope that you will stop."

In short, I am confused. He does not speak to anyone. I was trying to connect (and be helpful). Luckily I have really great neighbors in all the other houses.
