I didn't really have any major life events going on right now. I stay crazy busy with my business and gigs and rehearsals and stuff. But I realized I had a day off, the first in over 2 weeks, and that felt like a major event to me.
My stepson Daniel loved to tease us about how boring Winston is compared to LA, and called it Naptown.
Not my finest work, but I swear that keyboard sound seemed like a good idea at the time. I must need a nap.
lyrics
The radio rips the dreams out of my head every day
somebody needs me to do something every day
But then I take a gander at the calendar and see two words too long gone
No events today
I checked there's no mistake
No events today
I think I’ll take a trip to Naptown
I’ll enjoy this anomalous respite because it lasts for a day
Soon morning until midnight I must go go go, every day
It will be another fortnight until I meet those words again
No events today
I checked there's no mistake
No events today
I think I’ll take a trip to Naptown
