Another travel week, so this was done mostly on a plane w/ vocals done in the bathroom of our hotel while on kiddo duty! In my head I wanted a Lanios type dark vibe to go along with this sad tale of hope... more time needed, but oh well.
lyrics
Rising tide river free
I don't blame you so don't hate me
Find it in our hearts to still believe
Hangin On the short rope
We won't lose hope
Work so hard to build a life
In a flash in a flood all washed away
Hard not to be angry hard to be at all
Try to rembember what's important today
When it's said and done
We're the lucky ones
Have a chance to live for better days
Don't ask for much this one hurts
In a flash in a flood lost everything
Well a lifetime of stuff doesn't mean that much
Try to remember what's important today
We can build it back
Better than that
Hold tight as a community
