Low energy and time this week. However I realized that performance art technically counts for the assignment, if not really in the spirit Mitchell intended. Which means the occasional googly eye snuck into a secret public place to be discovered at an unknown time by an unknown person is actually art. Really, really, lazy art, but art nonetheless. Art is the creation. It is the discovery. And it is the observation, meaning the same art is different depending on the observer at that moment. So, does this explain how it influences my songwriting? No. Because I don’t know, but if you figure out my methods and inspirations, let me know. It could be useful information for me to use. Or not.
lyrics
Stumble for the snooze
Shuffle in my shoes
Fling joe at my face
Lag in the rat race
Key in the Cruiser door
Turn the wheel to work more
AND THE SCENERY IS LOOKING BACK AT ME
stop the car and walk on in
Say hi to the dog and then
Get on it until I can go home
Maybe stop for a glass and say hello
Pop in the back to wash my hands
AND THE SCENERY IS LOOKING BACK AT ME
