I picked Steve's minor chord narrative thing. It was really tough not to sneak an passing major. Plus I tried a uke capo experiment that didn't quite succeed.
So I found myself yesterday with several seeds of ideas but no actual song yet. And narrative is not a easy thing for me, so this might have been an odd choice to start with. So this was a bit dashed off, sorry guys. I hope to do better next week, but then don't we all? So here's an unglamorous tune about an unglamorous but decent person.

Rufus’s phone woke him up 20 minutes before his alarm was set that day
His heel twisted on a dog's bone when he rose, a little cursing made it ok.
He threw some coffee down his neck
His socks were odd but but he said what the heck

After dark he could sit down
Watch a screen to see fancy faces frown
They all complain that they are helpless to act until the other faces stop being mean

He clicked the screen off and he sighed
He closed his eyes but his grin began to grow wide
He was invisible to some
But he had helped someone’s grandma stay in her home
He was happy...
