I wrote this song this morning. I couldn't come up with anything really good so I threw together a hail mary. I recorded it on my little handheld Zoom recorder, so it's pretty rough. Forgive my morning bass tones. I go through the entire spectrum of the male range and finally arrive at my usual tenor at around 10AM.
lyrics
Take me anywhere
I’m tired of being alone
Locked in, left out
Take me anywhere
Francisco, or New Orleans
Just please, away
Know it’s a long long way
So I, dream of moonlit bays
They help me feel alive
Know it’s a long long time
And I, I ain’t got a dime
Keep telling my sweet lies
Seems to me sometimes
I’m just better off alone
Take me anywhere
I’m leaving this wretched home
Locked in, left out
Take me anywhere
Chicago, or Baton Rouge
Just please, away
