This is a tongue in cheek comical song. At first glance, the lyrics sound like a drug abuse song but it's definitely not. Later this week, I'll be partaking in a certain gastrointestinal procedure that particular folks have to get so this song is about the journey preparing for that procedure. Ha!
lyrics
There's pain in my belly
There's pain in my head
If it don't end soon I'm gonna be dead
Voices on the left
And voices on the right
Can I go all day
Will I make it through the night
Going through the tunnel, it's coming on fast
Going through the tunnel, man it ain't no blast
Going through the tunnel and I'm feeling the pain
Going through the tunnel will I go insane
The hunger will cry
And the hunger will lie
The hunger is gonna be my demise
My head goes up
And my head goes down
I got myself turned Lord, all the way around
Going through the tunnel, it's coming on fast
Going through the tunnel, man it ain't no blast
Going through the tunnel and I'm feeling the pain
Going through the tunnel will I go insane
Well my time has come
My time's at the end
My time expires before it begins
A dance with the devil
It's a dance with shame
Will I find victory
Calling my name
Going through the tunnel, it's coming on fast
Going through the tunnel, man it ain't no blast
Going through the tunnel and I'm feeling the pain
Going through the tunnel will I go insane
