Being a dad
It’s a thankless job
Sometimes it’s kinda like
Working for the kiddie mob
A litany of demands
Or it’s curtains for your sleep
Who am I kidding
But what they sow they’re gonna reap
I’ve got two lovely girls
One is one the other three
They’d pay me to say that
But it’s already my money
Tired of changing diapers
I’d call you a little poop stain
But mommy would be mad
So I do my best to refrain
It’s still worth it
Wouldn’t have it any other way
The trials and the tribulations
The ups and all the downs
The sleepless nights
The bath and bedtime fights
There’s not too high a price
Could you please just eat your rice
There’s nothing in the world
That compares to my little girls
Have another ice cream
It’s a respite for your Dad
Eat that piece off the floor
Boost your immune system a tad
Given up on cleanliness
Your toys litter my floor
Somebody’s gonna break an ankle
Can barely open the door
I’ll love you til I’m dead
Gonna be soon at the current rate
Had hair before I knew ya
Now I’ve got a barren pate
The world’s a little sweeter
Having you two around
And everyone can tell it
Because I’ve gained like fifty pounds
It’s still worth it
Wouldn’t have it any other way
The trials and the tribulations
The ups and all the downs
The sleepless nights
The bath and bedtime fights
There’s not too high a price
Could you please just eat your rice
There’s nothing in the world
That compares to my little girls
