Man, I've been disappointed with all my songs this round. Not sure I've had a keeper at all. This is a fun bit of power-pop fluff. Maybe with some strong lyrics, this could be usable for a power-pop project, but these ain't those lyrics.

For the record, I started with my usual knee-jerk reaction: I thought, well, if I'm going to have a foreign-language component … what's French for "what in the hell are you talking about?" My French pal, Alexa Benoit, quickly came to the rescue with a translation. Then I had to find a way to give that smart-ass idea some context. I had highfalutin' ideas about the tenuousness of communication in the social media age; political ideas; and just plain complicated relationship dialogue … and then none of it ever really got written. What you hear here is a moderately worked out chorus, and a whole bunch of other lyrical placeholder gibberish. Then again, maybe that fits the context. Dunno.

Really, the only redeemable parts of this are: 1) it was fun to do some power-pop again; and 2) I enjoyed using the Girth Master amp on this. These tones are just plug-and-play. I do like this amp for some good rhythm chunk!
