I didn’t post lyrics first because I didn’t write them before the music like I was supposed to do.
I was leaving town for several days so I cut a ukulele track and a wordless vocal placeholder, and Lee did all the drums and guitar and stuff while I was away.
I don’t have any early drafts because I erase as I write since my first drafts are just an awful word salad the world should never see, and have little to no resemblance to what is here.
I have some evangelicals in my family. It’s weird. They actually believe in prophesies, no matter how many times they don’t come true. They also actually think the earth is only 6000 years old, all because of one word in a book, a word with many more definitions than the one they use. And they can vote. Sigh.
lyrics
You eye the stars above for plans that glow
Some astral calendar made long ago
But when they fail to show
Please know that you don't know
For what was a day before we did run
What was it before the sun
Ellipsed around the milky way,
And we basked in it once in a day
The time is ending soon you say you read
Just like those yesterdays you were misled
Reality is wrong
Keep following along
For what was a day before we did run
What was it before the sun
Ellipsed around the milky way,
And we basked in it once in a day
