Many people are not happy with photographs of themselves. I guess you walk around with an internal image of what you think you look like and the when you see a picture of the yourself you can be unpleasantly surprised. In posting these songs, I think it's the same.
This is definitely raw and cheesy! Oh well....I'm still in and hopefully growing as a songwriter.
The stranger is a police officer that saw the young boy tap dancing in the third grade and then years later had to get the same boy to stop playing guitar so loud outside.
lyrics
Where A Hero Is Made
Little boy, in thick souled shoes
Talent day at the elementary school
Raised his hand , said he’d like to show something special that he can do
He walked up on that stage
He started stompin’ on the floor
With a big smile on his face
He was Tap dancing in a talent show
Looked like he was lettin’ it go
To be the shinin’ star, in all of third grade
He had no fear wasn’t scared at all
For three or four minutes he just gave it his all
Like Superman, Savin’ Ms. Lane
A Dream is where a hero is made
Got a call on the radio
Disturbin’ the peace, I was the one to go
As I closed in, I could hear it from a mile away
Little boy fifteen years young
Playin’ his guitar out in the sun
Amp on ten and smile on his face
I told him that it sounded good
But to take it inside you can’t play it for the neighborhood
He’s tap dancin’ in a talent show
Playin’ his guitar and just lettin’ it go
To be the big star on the neighborhood stage
Singin’ songs and playin guitar
You know he knew that it would take him real far
Like Superman, savin’ Ms. Lane
A Dream is where a hero is made
SOLO (absent)
He only wanted one thing
He had to be on the stage
He was Tap dancin’ in a talent show
Playin’ his guitar and just lettin’ it go
To be the big star, born with a dream
Singin’ songs and playin guitar
You know he knew that it would take him real far
Like Superman, savin’ Ms. Lane
