Out there on the dusty plane Out there walks a man His weathered by the sun and rain again In his heart, a hidden pain He holds it in his hand He's waiting all alone there for a friend And I forgive him yes I forgive him He's walking on the path he made When he was here before His former footsteps fade, and then restore His boots are worn down to his soul Down to his very core Will he falter? Will he fall once more? And I forgive him yes I forgive him

She rustled up the courage to look just one last time. Her head was bowed, a tear streamed down her face. She felt like breaking down, but through it all she kept on trying, Humming to herself, Amazing Grace. Deep inside, she knew it wasn’t fair. Fair, it seems, was not his calling card. “Any time,” she told him, “anywhere,” “I’ll be here if things should get too hard.” She told him years ago to walk a straight and narrow path, But he never listened, and she knew One day he’d surely have to face the justice system’s wrath, And she knew that day was overdue. Deep inside, it hurt to see him go. But she knew if he could just survive, She’d be there to watch him, even though being there would surely change his life If those bars could talk, they’d say, “Stay away,” It’s not easy on your side, it’s even harder over here. You’ve got a lot to learn, bridges to be burned, And you know I’ve never lied, I wish you’d stay on the outside. Even as she told him, she knew he would end up wrong. Boys like him don’t learn the easy way. If she ever had his ear, it never lasted long. She knew all was left to do was pray. Deep inside, she felt him slip away. He was tempted every step he took. Even though she tried most every day, He would never read that Holy Book. If those bars could talk, they’d say, “Stay away,” It’s not easy on your side, it’s even harder over here. You’ve got a lot to learn, bridges to be burned, And you know I’ve never lied, I wish you’d stay on the outside.

Everybody’s got a place to go But I’m left in the afterglow Ooh, waiting and wailing Promises they have been made Maybe for another day Ooh, I’m waiting and wailing They said the there’d be a place for me A sense of who I wanted to be Something I’ve longed for a while But I arrive and it is clear There’s a whole bunch of nothing here Seems like this happens all the time I’m a man of action plans And this is why I can’t understand All of this waiting and wailing You told me I could trust in you So give me something that I can do I don’t like waiting and wailing Maybe it’s just temporary and Someday it’ll come to me But I don’t wanna be stuck here in this stew Show me who you want me to be Even though there are no guarantees I’ll still be looking out for you I guess it’s better than nothing at all You gotta walk after you learn to crawl Ooh, waiting and wailing

v1: We had spring, but it went away We could've had peace, but we saved it for another day We were friends, but we couldn't find the words to say La da da... v2: Little matters when you choose to fight Why be kind when you know that you are right (this time)? Something's happening, and it feels as if we've lost our sight La da da... ch: Just an angel staggering home from a long, long night I left you stranded & alone, couldn't make it right I was right where I belonged and it should have been so simple I was tearing you down when I could've been your temple v3: When the wheels of disinterest start to spin What we are, or maybe what we might have been We let respect get crushed by the will to win La da da... ch: Just an angel staggering home from a long, long night I left you stranded & alone, couldn't make it right I was right where I belonged and it should have been so simple I was tearing you down when I could've been your temple -- imagine a harmonica solo here -- ch: Just an angel staggering home from a long, long night I left you stranded & alone, couldn't make it right I was right where I belonged and it should have been so simple I was tearing you down I was tearing you down I was tearing you down when I could've been your temple

A shot rings out I should have known The sounds of doubt On the telephone You put a gun to your head and it said go You put a gun to your head you left a poem Chorus: Another loss to the unknown I'm burning pages, from a poem cause I don't want to walk this world alone In your memory Another Casualty Of Serenity The knife cuts clean you heart it pounds an act supreme the crying sounds you put a knife to your vein and it said drown you put a knife to your vein your leaving town Chorus Don't Go Chorus

All hail King Richard Liege of blood and steel Sleep you now so soundly In the mud of Bosworth Field (Edward) Pray you bleed, my brother, You took me in my prime The Tudor man, King Henry The sword, his hand and mine (Harry) Fine was anointed body ’Til you punched it full of holes Dream of me and Towers As the fires lick your soul (Clarence) May in your mind sit heavy A drowning in fulsome wine At least when Cain slew Abel He proved he had a spine (Rivers, Grey, and Vaughn) Fall upon your edgeless sword And spare the world your pride You have no better angels
Ambition’s cross, crucified (Princes/Cousins) Can’t forget the children, Lord The innocents that died Your cousin princes curse you We hope they skin yo’ ass alive All hail King Richard Liege of blood and steel Sleep you now so soundly In the mud of Bosworth Field
