I've been hanging on the wrong side of the tracks I've been waiting for the old man to cut me some slack I've been running from the long arm of the law Twenty years old and I know I have it all Why won't you set me free This town is killing me Why don't you set me free I've been sleeping where the sun don't ever shine I've been selling my soul just to pass the time I've been doing some things that would make you cry Every little word I say is a big ole lie Why won't you set me free This town is killing me Why don't you set me free I've been losing the shimmer in your eyes I've been heading down this hole with no goodbyes I've been a slave to the bottle and a wicked knife I lie here dying in this alley what a wonderful life Why won't you set me free This town is killing me Oh God set me free

Blue blue moon black river Gone too soon carry me home V1 Made my wish on a fallen star Broken glass and shattered dreams Waste away the winnings, it seems Seven times and seven lessons Learned each one the hard way Desperate for a little sun today Thought I was doing gods work Turns out I was just a jerk V2 Romantic walks in quicksand Candlelight regards Shocked and shackled Roulet booze and cards New Orleans was good to me Til her mood turned red Devils in the details good as dead Thought that I could handle it Turns out I was full of shit Outrro When it all goes black When it all goes black No turning back When it all goes black

Wont' you step down on me and my shovel lets see where this little thing goes again turn on your red lights I'm jumping now you just keep blowing the dust under my skin Call the collector I think I'm a struggle With all the fishes is where I love to swim Don't call me names no more don't call me names no Down below is where you belong in the end So much to talk about yes I know It's been a long day we're still lifting the soil and dirt that we moved Come back to me now ,Come back to me now I'm a dumb dirty fool Won't you step down on me and my shovel feel the fresh dirt separate beneath your skin Back in the crows nest when I was a child we were digging for worms deeper than any man could go So much to talk about yes I know It's been a long day now we're still lifting the soil and dirt that we moved Come back to me now Come back to me now You closed minded fool
4.
I told my dreams they have changed, no they didn't take it so good. "What do you mean there is a bottom to the sea? Are you sure you did all that you could?" I said it's a combination of so many things, I don't expect you to understand. Youthful dreams are allowed to change and fantasies are made of sand. Fantasies are made of sand. Now that you are like everyone else, what will you do? How can you not be your self, The only self you knew? There is irony in everything and everything is the same. There is irony in everything and everything is the same. You told your love they were not your love and felt the weight of the world dissolve. It's took years to find the courage it took the years to evolve. Is it worth being alone to not have to pretend? Loneliness is as bad as it sounds When satisfaction can never be found When satisfaction can never be found There is irony in everything and everything is the same. There is irony in everything and everything is the same.

Ran to the ocean, swallowed me Lost my devotion Fell off the mountain, deep ravine Lost in the counting Dig your roots in, watch how far you reach Rain down these blessings rain on me Tender the coffers Don't play so foolish, like you don't see 'Dya think you were ready? Step on up, boy, show us what you learned Here's the place where I get off Going home this time Soul and grace may cut these cloths Roots alone make rhymes

No air beneath us No air between us Nowhere inside us No one to guide us Waiting for someone to fall Watching for summer, that's all Watching & waiting, anticipating Your love for the sake of the call No time to walk out No rhyme for fall out No one to guide us Waiting for someone to fall Watching for summer, that's all Watching & waiting, anticipating Your love for the sake of the call Once more with feeling One last beginning Waiting for someone to fall Watching for summer, that's all Watching & waiting, anticipating Your love for the sake of the call
7.
Unravel I'm a light. At the end of a tunnel Shaking from the cold Way down deep in my bones Can't make it through I'm a puzzle. Sitting on a shelf Waiting for the embrace of  Another lonely soul Put me back together I am a land mine. Laying in the jungle  Long since forgotten  Roots grow deep As long as I sleep I'm a dream. Stuck in a memory  That shuffles on repeat Bursts of life unconsciously Like a bee stings You brought me here  Left me for good to rot in a pit Led me with promises  As you slowly sank in your teeth Should have known from the dark around your eyes You were telling me lies, telling me lies Getting sicker and sicker the air growing thicker I can't breathe Beating my way out  Won't let me win No where to go from here I simply disappear Like I was never here Unravel like twine The end of time I am a nothing
